The Bishopric of Pécs is located just a 5–10 minute walk from the city centre of Pécs. The shortest route leads through Janus Pannonius Street and the Pécs Promenade (“Sétatér”). From the north, the site can also be accessed via Aradi Vértanúk Street through the gate in the castle wall.
There is no on-site parking available for visitors arriving by car. Paid parking spaces can be foun in the surrounding streets. For groups arriving by coach, a designated drop-off and pick-up area is available on Aradi Vértanúk
Street above the Bishopric, directly next to the gate providing access through the castle wall. Please
note that parking in the coach bay is not permitted.
The long-distance bus station is approximately a 20-minute walk away. Alternatively, visitors can take local bus lines 32, 34Y or 35Y to the Barbakán / Kodály Zoltán Street. stop. From there, the towers of the Cathedral are already visible.
The railway station is approximately a 25-minute walk away. Visitors may also take local bus lines 30Y, 32, 34Y or 35Y to the Barbakán / Kodály Zoltán Street stop, from where the towers of the Cathedral can be seen.
